Job Title

Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiothoracic)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Circulate complex cardiac cases including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve repairs, ascending and descending procedures, and heart and lung transplants
  • Circulate general OR and vascular cases as assigned
  • Participate in on-call rotation, approximately 5–8 calls per month including weekend call
  • Comply with holiday call requirements as determined by departmental needs
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain required radiation badge compliance
  • Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as required
Required Qualifications
  • Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be in hand at contract start
  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to circulate complex cardiac, general OR, and vascular cases
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • 5 or more years of CVOR experience (required for first-time travelers to this specialty setting)
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records charting system
  • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
