Job Title: Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varies/Days, rotating weekends Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: - Minimum of 2 years in ICU/PCU and/or a medical/surgical acute care setting. - One year of experience as a Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room or completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing class. - One year of CVOR/Open Heart experience required. - ICU experience preferred. - Scrubbing experience preferred. License: - Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required. Certifications: - Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. - AHA ACLS required. Must-Have: - Experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting. - Strong clinical skills and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. Description: The Operating Room provides cardiac care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. Service is offered to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and elderly patient populations. Collaboration occurs with various provider specialties. The focus is on ensuring patients return home the same day or are admitted for further care. Candidates should be prepared to meet the essential qualifications and demonstrate the ability to work proficiently in a team-oriented environment.
