Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: State RN or Compact RN Certifications: Required: BLS Preferred: ACLS, CNOR, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Scrub experience is preferred but not required. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must be willing to float between like units. Description: The role involves working with patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with a variety of surgical interventions such as CABG, AVR, AAA, and MVR. The ideal candidate will have experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures. Surgical support tasks include preparation and assisting in the operation room. Candidates are expected to respond to codes and emergencies as needed. Call requirements stipulate availability for at least 1 weekend per month and 5 weekday evenings. Weekly patient ratios are set to 1:1, ensuring focused care. Charting is performed using the Epic system. The environment supports a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates must provide two references covering the last year during the compliance process. All travelers are expected to float between various like units within their skill set. Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess the preferred certifications.
