The unit has six surgical suites plus a hybrid room.
They perform 20-30 cases per day on average.
Common cases include total joints, general surgery, spine, urology, and cardiovascular for the open-heart team.
There is a charge nurse present as a resource, along with specialty leads.
A house supervisor is available on-site 24/7.
Scrub techs are available for support.
The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.
Shifts may include on-call requirements with varying frequency.
There is a call response time of 30 minutes.
