Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill cardiovascular patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an Open Heart Recovery Unit (OHRU) or similar post-cardiac surgery environment
- Familiarity with travel nursing assignments and ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
