Key Responsibilities- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
- Provide open heart recovery care and monitoring for post-operative cardiovascular patients
- Operate and manage intra-aortic balloon pump as required for assigned patients
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA or ARC
- Cardiovascular nursing experience including open heart recovery
- Intra-aortic balloon pump experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior acute care facility experience
