    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – CVICU

    Location

    La Jolla, CA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
    • Float to like units or lower acuity units at or below skillset as needed, excluding the Emergency Department
    • Work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
    Required Qualifications
    • Active California RN License in hand at time of submittal (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
    • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
    • Minimum 1.5 years of continuous experience in CVICU or equivalent specialty
    • EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum 1 year of total travel nursing experience, with at least 6 months of continuous travel experience leading up to submittal
    • Experience floating across ICU, SDU, and Telemetry units
    • Ability to provide at least one supervisory-level professional reference
