    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex problems in a cardiovascular ICU setting.
    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments encompassing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data into a cohesive care plan.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and communicate patient care plans, promoting continuity of care and effective discharge planning.
    • Demonstrate competence in bedside point-of-care testing and adhere to healthcare organization nursing standards, policies, and procedures in all care delivery.
    • Assess patient and family readiness and ability to learn, utilizing appropriate patient education materials relevant to the population served.
    • Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of recent CSICU/CVICU nursing experience.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA or ARC.
    • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage in professional development activities and apply current nursing research to clinical practice.
