    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to CVICU patients including fresh post-operative open heart surgery patients, ventilated patients, and those with chest tubes and lumbar drains
    • Manage patients with chronic and acute renal failure utilizing advanced monitoring and support equipment
    • Operate and monitor specialized cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax
    • Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheters, Flotrack, arterial lines, and temporary pacemakers
    • Float as required to all ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and IMC units, with patient ratios adjusted based on acuity
    • Adhere to every-other-weekend and holiday scheduling requirements as applicable
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience; SICU experience with initial CVICU training may be considered
    • Demonstrated experience with post-operative open heart recovery including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR cases
    • Proficiency with Impella, IABP, and CRRT (Prismax) OR documented experience with fresh heart cases
    • Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
    • Active NJ RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
    • No open or active background or license hits accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience floating across multiple ICU environments, PACU, and intermediate care units
    • Familiarity with Epic EMR system
    • Experience managing chest tubes, lumbar drains, and temporary pacing devices in a high-acuity cardiac setting
