Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager (RN) to provide leadership and operational oversight within a Critical Care unit. This role supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and evidence-based patient care in a high-acuity hospital environment.

The RN Manager assumes 24/7 accountability for assigned critical care areas, including staffing, clinical performance, patient safety, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for Critical Care (ICU) nursing operations
Support the CNO in executing nursing strategy and patient care initiatives
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing practice at unit level
Ensure safe, high-quality care delivery for critically ill patients
Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
Monitor clinical outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
Develop and support nursing staff competency and performance
Serve as a clinical leader and role model for professional nursing practice
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Perform additional leadership duties as required


Qualifications

Required:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
Bachelor s degree in Nursing or related field (minimum academic degree required)
Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting (Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse level)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability in hospital operations and patient care management

Preferred:

Master s degree in Nursing or related field
Additional leadership experience in Critical Care or ICU settings
