Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: - Experience with PA catheter interpretation and analysis - Strong preference for open heart recovery experience directly from OR - Required experience with LVAD/RVAD/Impella and IABP - Preferred experience with CRRT with Prismaflex and ECMO - Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, including PA catheters - Skills in management of ventilated patients and bedside tracheostomy care - Experience with targeted temperature management and glucose monitoring Description: Position available for a CVICU Registered Nurse. This role involves providing critical care to patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The nurse will work nights on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Candidates should have a solid foundation in critical care nursing and the ability to float across the ICU community as needed. Prior experience in a similar role is essential, with particular expertise in specific cardiovascular procedures and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork in a high-pressure environment. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle complex patient situations and provide comprehensive nursing care.
