Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - PA catheter interpretation and analysis required - Open heart recovery experience preferred - Experience with LVAD/RVAD/Impella and IABP required - CRRT with Prismaflex and ECMO preferred - Ventilator management experience - Hemodynamic monitoring experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care. The shift will be 3 nights per week, working 12-hour shifts. The nurse will care for a maximum of 2 patients at a time. First-timers are not accepted for this position. The nurse will be required to work every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement for this role. The clinician will be expected to float within the ICU community as needed. The unit provides care for patients undergoing a variety of cardiac procedures. Special procedures performed include CRRT, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring. Candidates must have experience with temporary pacemakers and glucose monitoring. Support services available include IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Social Services. The daily patient census is around 24, with 32 beds available in the unit. Interdisciplinary collaboration is a key component of patient care in this role. Candidates should possess advanced critical care skills and be capable of managing complex patient needs. Shift flexibility and adaptability are essential for this position. Travel experience is required for applicants.
