Job Title: CVICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required. License: Active Illinois license required or in the application process. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: PICC line management and starting IVs experience required. Previous charge experience preferred. Cerner experience preferred. Description: Position: CVICU RN. Shift: 18:45 - 07:00, 3x12 open to 4x12s, every third weekend. First-timers accepted. Weekend requirement: every third weekend. Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes. Open to accommodating block schedule? Yes, connect with manager to discuss schedule requests. Locals accepted: Yes, no radius. RTO restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days. Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without payment for the cancelled hours. If clients cancel more hours than permitted, they will be billed accordingly. If candidates are placed on-call instead of being called off, this will count as a called-off shift. Patient ratios: 2 patients per nurse during days and nights, weekends. Special skills required: Accessing and managing ports. Arterial line management. Assist with chest tube insertion/removal. BiPAP/CPAP management. Blood product administration. Care of ventilated patients. Central line care/management. Continuous IV paralytics/neuro muscular blockade. Continuous IV sedation. Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) care. CVVHD/CRRT. Management of emergency medications. Epicardial pacing wire care and management. High flow nasal cannula (HFNC) care. Infection prevention. Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs). Interpretation of dysrhythmias. Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) care. Isolation precautions/PPE. IV insulin protocols. Management of dysrhythmias. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Neuro intensive care unit experience. Phlebotomy skills. PICC line management experience. Care of patients post-cardiac surgery. Pre/post cardiac catheterization/intervention. Procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring. Starting and maintaining IVs. Suctioning (ETT, NT). Surgical intensive care unit experience. Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia. Titrate cardiac drips. Titrate vasoactive drips. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) experience.
