Job Title: CVICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Surgery ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active IL license required Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: PICC line management experience Starting IVs experience Previous charge experience preferred Cerner experience preferred Description: Position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Shifts are from 18:45 to 07:00, working three 12-hour shifts with the possibility of four 12-hour shifts. Every third weekend is required. First-time travelers accepted. Clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs. Open to accommodating block schedules by discussing with the manager. No radius restriction for local candidates. RTO restrictions ideally should not exceed five days. Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without compensation for the canceled hours. If more hours are canceled, the client will be billed for additional shifts. On-call shifts will count as called-off. Special requirements include: Management of PICC lines and starting IVs. Preference for candidates with previous charge experience and Cerner experience. Facility highlights include: Acute care hospital with a total of 562 staffed beds. Magnet-designated facility. Patient demographic is adults with a daily census of 6. Unit has 8 rooms and beds. Staffing and scheduling includes: Patient ratios of 2 during days and nights. Weekend shifts have the same patient ratio. Travelers are required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidates must adhere to compliance needs and meet timelines.
