Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty applying for required, preferably within one location. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license in hand at time of submission. Compact licenses are accepted for any starts from January 1, 2023, and forward. Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: Must have 18 months recent CVICU experience; travel experience will suffice. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. Two references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for are required to qualify for submission. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Required certifications need to be active with nothing pending. Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation with acceptable scores. Traveler will receive two attempts maximum to pass assessments; otherwise, they will be canceled. Facility will not accept any traveler with an open background check case. Facility does not accept any license hits. Description: This position requires a nurse to work in the CVICU. The shift is nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The nurse will provide care to patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures. They will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. The nurse must be able to demonstrate ECG rhythm recognition skills. They will participate in patient assessments and develop care plans. The role includes monitoring patients' vital signs and responding to changes in condition. The nurse will educate patients and families regarding care and procedures. They must be proactive in ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role includes adherence to all safety and infection control protocols. Maintaining accurate patient documentation is required. The position includes addressing any patient needs in a timely manner. The nurse should exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
