The unit has 8 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1, occasionally 1:1. The patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses and treatments include CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures. The role requires strong critical thinking skills. Required education is an Associate Nursing Degree. The dress code is professional scrubs in any color. Additional equipment used in the unit includes Impella, IABP, and CRRT. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. There are no on-call requirements for this position. Floating requirements will be per scheduled rotation.
