Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, including familiarity with managing patients who have advanced cardiac devices such as LVADs and balloon pumps. This unit specializes in caring for adults to geriatrics with complex cardiovascular health issues. Nurses typically manage 2 patients at a time, ensuring high-quality care and attention. An intensivist is present in the unit from Monday to Friday for comprehensive patient management. Effective communication among team members is critically important to ensure patient safety and well-being. Candidates must possess the ability to titrate cardiac medications, manage sedation for intubated patients, and monitor invasive lines. Successful applicants will adhere to strict protocols for patient positioning and monitoring following specific cardiovascular procedures. Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential, as the team includes various healthcare professionals who contribute to patient care. This role involves caring for patients with conditions such as cardiogenic shock, acute respiratory failure, and aortic dissection.
