Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 1 year experience with Cardiac Critical Care - Certification in ACLS - Certification in BLS - NIH Certification Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Ability to work with minimal supervision is essential. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Unit has an acuity adaptable setup with 80 beds. Nurse to patient ratio varies from 1:1 to 1:4. Scrub color is Royal Blue. May float to all units within clinical scope if needed. EMR used is Sunrise Clinical Manager. Preferred experience includes open heart patients. Rotating weekends are required, with one weekend every three weeks.
