Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care or CVICU License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS and ACLS through AHA Must-Have: Open Heart experience Post-operative CABG and Valve experience Impella and IABP experience CRRT experience 2 years of EPIC experience Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment Description: Registered Nurse needed with Open Heart experience. Targeted patient ratio is 1:2 for Critical Care and 1:3 for Intermediate level patients. Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret EKG strips. Candidates should possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing or BSN. Floating may be required based on staffing and census. Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Rate of pay will be based on experience and qualifications. Cancellations may occur due to low census. Travelers are not eligible for additional incentives. The unit supports high-risk respiratory patients and those with COVID. It is a 16-bed ICU unit in a designated trauma center. Family-centered care is emphasized, with no visiting hour restrictions. Customer service is a top priority in patient care. Daily patient diagnoses include respiratory illness, cardiovascular issues, and stroke management. Special equipment utilized includes ventilators, CRRT machines, and balloon pumps. The unit offers interdisciplinary support from various specialties. Candidate must be comfortable with floating to other units as needed. Candidates must disclose any past employment with the organization and provide details if applicable. Candidates with prior license disciplinary action will not be accepted. All required skills and experiences will be assessed during the application process.
