Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45-19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Active RN license required Certifications: None required, CCRN recommended Must-Have: Titration of Vesicant Medications experience. Familiarity with Pressors, Sedation, and Paralytics. Experience with Ventilators, Tracheostomies, and telemetry interpretation. Understanding of Hemodynamics and Pulmonary Artery Catheter setup and interpretation. Transvenous pacing and Cardioversion skills. Familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance. Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The unit has 16 beds with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1, depending on acuity. Unit includes Registered Nurses only, with no Health Unit Coordinators or Patient Care Technicians. The available equipment includes Ventilators, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pumps, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy machines, Impellas, and Hypothermia devices. Documentation will be carried out using the Cerner system. Expectations include working 36 hours per week with alternating weekends. Float policy will require versatility across different areas. ICU experience is a requirement for this position. While no specific certifications are required, CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience are appreciated. Desired skills include familiarity with advanced equipment and procedures such as Cardioversion, Central line insertion, EGD, Bronchoscopy, Chest Tube insertions, Pericardiocentesis, and Thoracentesis. Uniform requirements state that all scrubs must be navy or navy and white. Candidates should adhere to the dress code guidelines, which prohibit pullovers or hoodies and specify the required scrub colors.
