Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 13.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: Critical care nursing experience Description: Looking for highly motivated critical care nurses who thrive in a very fast-paced, high acuity critical care environment. We provide care to some of the most critically ill patients. Patients usually have a variety of diagnoses. Our primary service lines include cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery. The team has also provided ICU-level care for patients suffering from severe respiratory infections. Unit capacity is 15 beds. We serve patients with cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-cardiopulmonary arrest care. Ages of patients served range from adolescent to late adult. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Direct patient care staff consists of Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians.
