Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Onsite | Recovery Unit Hours: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–9:30 PM; Common shifts include 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, and 1:00 PM–9:30 PM (shifts negotiable); On-call required 4–7 days per month by sign-up with a 60-minute response time (30 minutes preferred); On-call weekend days 5:00 AM–5:00 PM, weekend nights 5:00 PM–5:00 AM, and weekdays 9:30 PM–5:00 AM; Holidays on-call only
Key Responsibilities- Provide pre-procedure admission and post-procedure recovery nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac and interventional procedures
- Care for patients receiving left and right heart catheterizations, complex PCI, electrophysiology studies, interventional radiology, and peripheral vascular procedures including hybrid/combined cases such as AAA repair
- Monitor patients centrally in a pre/post recovery unit consisting of up to 16 beds and a radial lounge with recovery chairs
- Manage an average of approximately 30 cases per day across the unit
- Utilize EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system for documentation and medication management
- Participate in on-call rotation including weekday evenings, weekend days, and weekend nights as scheduled
Required Qualifications- Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- Prior admit and recovery experience in a Cath Lab or Pre/Post procedural setting
- Proficiency or willingness to perform ultrasound-guided IV starts
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with electrophysiology, interventional radiology, or peripheral vascular patient populations
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and Pyxis systems
- Travel nursing experience or demonstrated ability to orient quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume lab environment
