Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 36 hours per week | 4x10 or 3x12 shifts (7:00am–5:30pm or 7:00am–7:30pm) | Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback per unit needs
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedural labs
- Assist with and support mechanical and electrical cardiac diagnosis and intervention procedures including structural heart, vascular, and critical cardiac interventions
- Monitor and manage patients receiving moderate sedation throughout pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
- Collaborate with cardiovascular technologist (CVT) staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Manage and support patients requiring mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD
- Participate in charge, on-call, and callback responsibilities as determined by unit needs
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Moderate sedation training
- Dysrhythmia and telemetry competency
- Demonstrated experience with TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures
- Experience with Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever
- Mechanical Circulatory Support experience: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD
- Structural Heart experience including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty, and ASA
- Critical care or cardiac nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Cardiovascular certification or RCES certification preferred
- Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and associated equipment
- EP Lab experience
