Job Title
Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP Lab)
LocationNew York, NY
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | 3 x 12-hour shifts, primarily days with some evenings, holidays, and on-call per unit needs
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures, ensure all equipment and instrumentation is in working order, and monitor recordings during procedures
- Serve as the circulator at the sterile field, assisting with patient and equipment preparation for EP studies and ablations
- Maintain fluids for ablation catheters, provide assistance with the ablator, and deliver backup pacing support during device implants
- Assist anesthesia, document procedures in Epic, and remain patient-focused throughout EP studies and ablations
- Communicate with physicians and in-room staff to confirm availability of all equipment and supplies; assist with room turnover and on-time procedure starts
- Coordinate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members are available for scheduled procedures
Required Qualifications- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license (NY only)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
- Proficiency in moderate sedation
- Proficiency with Epic for procedural documentation
Preferred Experience / Skills- Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
- Experience with GE MacLab and/or CardioLab systems
- Familiarity with EP mapping systems such as Biosense Webster Carto, Abbott Ensite/Precision, or Rhythmia
