Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days (5x8 Hours) | Onsite | Standard hours 0800–1630 with flexibility required for earlier or later procedures
Key Responsibilities- Perform and assist with procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab and EP department during standard and extended procedure hours
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation, recording all procedures accurately throughout the shift
- Participate in an on-call rotation, typically two nights per week and every other weekend, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays, with an expectation to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of notification
- Collaborate closely with the Interventional Radiology team, providing cross-coverage support as needed
- Respond to facility emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site until an event concludes or serving on a relief team
Required Qualifications- Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana state license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or EP specialty
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- Competency in conscious sedation monitoring and procedure documentation
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license) – local travelers are not accepted
- Must not be a first-time traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in or cross-covering an Interventional Radiology department
- Familiarity with facility-based electronic documentation and procedure recording systems
