Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory setting within an acute hospital environment
- Perform on-call duties one day per week and every fourth/fifth weekend (Friday 18:00 – Monday 07:30)
- Work approximately one Saturday per month as part of the regular four-shift weekly schedule
- Float within scope to EP or IR departments as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Adhere to facility compliance requirements including holiday coverage, with willingness to work two of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required; pending Alaska license accepted for submission, but license must be in hand prior to offer
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Willingness and ability to participate in on-call rotation including weekends
- Candidate's permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in Electrophysiology (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma acute care hospital
