The nurse will participate in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. High acuity cases such as TAVR and Mitraclip procedures are expected. Experience with peripheral vascular cases is a plus. Candidates should be familiar with various cardiac interventions, including Rotablator, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, and Balloon Pump. The unit operates with a case volume of approximately 3000 per year. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner and Merge Hemodynamics. The facility maintains a chest pain center accreditation and acts as a STEMI tertiary referral center. The schedule requires 12-hour shifts from 0700 to 1930, plus on-call responsibilities. On-call duties may include one night per week and up to every other weekend. Weekend and holiday work is also required. The environment utilizes IV teams and has 24/7 pharmacy support available. The nursing team may consist of CV Techs or Rad Techs with cath lab experience. The position requires working with an intensivist and the presence of a radiology team. Common diagnoses include findings related to cardiac catheterization and interventions. Candidates must ensure compliance with required certifications and licenses.
