Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 3 years in cardiac Cath lab preferred License: Active state RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Proven background of 3 years in cardiac Cath lab for first-time travelers - CPI certification on-site during orientation - NIH certification preferred - Charting experience in Epic Description: The Cath Lab Registered Nurse will work 4x10 day shifts. The schedule includes one late shift per week based on case needs. The typical daily census is 7-14 cases with 2 Cath Lab rooms available. Common patient diagnoses include Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFIB, and Bradycardia. Procedures performed in the Cath Lab will include Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker insertion, Loop monitors, Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and Cardioversions. Specialized equipment utilized will include Balloon Pump and IVUS. The nurse must be available for on-call shifts, with a 30-minute arrival requirement when on call. Weekend and holiday coverage will be required as necessary. The nurse will float to pre-op/PACU as needed. Candidates must have experience in various Cath Lab skills and procedures. Team members will work closely with interdisciplinary support services such as IV Teams and Respiratory Services. This position requires adaptability and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
