Job Title: Cath Lab Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days with On-Call Rotation Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of RN experience with 1 year of critical care and cardiovascular intervention experience required License: Current RN licensure Certifications: Current CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification Must-Have: Active RN licensure BLS certification Graduate of an accredited nursing program Description: We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Nurse for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Cath Lab at a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position is for Day Shift with an On-Call Rotation, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act as required by care setting. Ensures all documentation is accurate and comprehensive according to the established standards of care for documentation. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the patient's individualized needs, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy. Utilizes resources available to teach and support patient and family education, providing education to the appropriate level of understanding. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Acts to resolve systems breakdowns and engages self and others in providing solutions. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, manages complex situations, and delegates to other staff appropriately. Escalates to the appropriate chain of command as needed. Positively influences professional and organizational environments and shared governance.
