Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years required License: Valid compact or state nursing license Certifications: ACLS BLS Must-Have: Epic experience Electrophysiology Lab experience Description: The Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse will work day shifts from Monday to Friday. The role requires 2 years of experience in the specialty. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The nurse will be involved in various procedures, including cardiac implant closure device insertion, pacemaker and defibrillator lead extraction, arrhythmia induction, and cardiac ablation. The nurse will also perform baseline measurements, conduction studies, cardioversion, and assist in cardiac mapping. Experience with insertion and programming of AICDs and left atrial appendage closure is necessary. Additional responsibilities include starting and maintaining IVs and using vascular closure systems. Candidates should be prepared for call duty, which is required one week every two months. The lab treats adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with an average daily census of 22 patients. The unit focuses on interdisciplinary support, collaborating with various health services as needed. References from previous supervisors or managers are required for submission.
