Experience with left and right heart catheters, complex PCI, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral vascular cases
Description:
The position involves working in a busy multimodality lab.
The work environment is a brand-new facility that opened in December 2020.
The team is supportive and welcoming to travelers.
The Cath Lab Pre/Post Recovery unit operates Monday through Friday from 5 AM to 9:30 PM.
Common shifts are 9 AM to 5:30 PM, 6 AM to 6 PM, and 7 AM to 7 PM.
Call is required on a rotating basis, with an expectation of 1-2 call days per week and 1 weekend per month.
An ideal candidate should be proficient in handling various cardiac cases.
The average number of cases per day is about 30.
The unit is staffed with multiple RNs across different shifts.
The response time for call is preferred at 30 minutes but should be within 60 minutes.
The equipment utilized includes EPIC and PYXIS.
A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork and collaboration in patient care.
All staff members are proficient in ultrasound IV starts.
Pharmacy and code support are available 24/7.
Floating is only required in emergency situations.
Orientation to specific unit processes is less than one week if competence is demonstrated.
