Must-Have:
Competent to perform conscious sedation and monitor and record all procedures in the IR department.
Previous charge experience is not accepted.
Must have 2 years of experience in the specialty.
Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic.
Travel experience required.
Description:
The role involves working in a Cath Lab.
Travelers may be assigned to an Emergency Team and are expected to stay at the facility during emergency events.
Flexibility is required for shift hours to accommodate patient needs.
Call is divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend.
On-call involves the expectation of arriving within 30 minutes of notification.
Floating between the IR and Cardiac Cath Lab may be required based on unit needs.
The unit serves various patient populations including adults and geriatrics.
All staff should be competent to perform procedures in Cardiac Cath, Peripheral, Vascular, EP, and Interventional Radiology.
Must be able to utilize all equipment associated with the Cath Lab, EP, and IR.
Daily census averages 8 patients.
There are two procedure rooms in the unit.
Strict adherence to all safety protocols and infection prevention measures is required.
All candidates must provide necessary documentation upon submission.
Candidates who have worked as permanent staff must have been separated for one year before applying.
References may be requested to verify prior experience.
All nursing skills associated with the specialty must be maintained.
Additional certifications may be required based on specific roles within the unit.
Candidates must ensure alignment with all job expectations and be prepared for the demands of the role.
