Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Compact or state license in hand upon submittal Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Must be competent to perform conscious sedation and monitor and record all procedures. Must have experience in the Cath Lab, including procedures related to Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology. Previous charge experience is not acceptable. Description: Travelers may be assigned to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay until after any event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details about pay will be provided during emergency events. Travelers should only apply if they are comfortable with this requirement. Standard procedure hours are generally from 08:00 to 16:30, but flexibility is required to meet unit needs. Call is divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend. Being on call includes the expectation of arriving within 30 minutes of notification. Floating may occur between the Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab as needed. Competency in procedures from all service areas, including Cardiac Cath, Peripheral, Vascular, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology, is essential. Must have the ability to utilize all equipment associated with these procedures. Travelers must have current NURSYS reports sent with their profile. All AHA certifications should be in PDF format. References are required but not during the submission process. Candidates who have worked as permanent staff must be separated for one full year before returning.
