Description:
The Cardiac Catheterization RN acts as a critical member of the patient care team within the department.
Collaborates fully with other care team members to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Promotes a philosophy of patient and family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Focuses on understanding and meeting customer needs.
Supports either 3 X 12-hour shifts or 4 X 10-hour shifts.
Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call may be required during the contract.
No weekend or holiday worked shifts.
In a 13-week contract, you can expect 1-2 weeknights (total) and possibly 1 weekend, though not guaranteed.
The Cath Lab has 7 procedure rooms and a hybrid OR, with all procedure rooms upgraded within the last 1-5 years.
There is a 12-bay peri-procedural space for patient prep and recovery.
Epic is the primary charting system, and hemodynamics measurements are done on the Siemens Sensis system.
The lab averages over 30 cases per day.
Case types range from outpatient RHC and stable coronary angiograms to complex coronary, structural, and vascular interventions.
