Description:
The cardiac cath lab consists of 2 cath labs, 2 EP labs, and 1 hybrid room.
On average, there are 17 cases per day.
The hiring process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager.
The maximum radius for candidates is 60 miles, and a driver’s license must be submitted.
During orientation, clinicians must be present for the entire week, even if some modules are remote.
Typical patients include those with acute myocardial infarctions, electrophysiology needs, and structural heart conditions.
Job duties include monitoring and circulating patients.
The cardiologist hours and on-call schedule are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with approximately 1 night of call per week and generally 1 weekend of call every 6-week schedule.
There is a vacant manager role, and charge nurses and directors will be present.
Shifts will be a combination of assigned and self-scheduled.
The call response time is expected to be 30 minutes.
Floating to other units is not permitted unless there is an extreme need.
Scrub colors and dress code are provided.
There is a cancellation policy that allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the 13-week assignment.
Charting is done using the EPIC system.
