Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active compact license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology experience - Required skills: Blood/Blood Products Administration, Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Cooling/Warming Blanket, Obtain 12 Lead EKG, Syringe Pumps Description: Perm candidates are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. There is a call requirement of one weekday and one weekend per month, with hours varying based on staffing and vacation. The role includes involvement in procedures such as cardiac catheterization, stent placement, and biopsies. Clinicians should be proficient with the administration and monitoring of procedural sedation. Interdisciplinary support is available, and the patient population consists of adults and geriatrics. It is essential that candidates possess a strong background in the required skills. References are required from the past year and should include charge nurses or leads. Modules are non-billable and must be completed pre-start, with tracking recorded in transcripts. The candidate should have experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and assist with central line insertion and management. Job responsibilities include monitoring procedural sedation and sheath removal. Candidates will also need to demonstrate competence in obtaining 12-lead EKGs.
