Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekday shifts Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience License: Valid multi-state or state Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous Cath Lab experience required Description: The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies and procedures. The purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient functional status is central to this role. Utilizes the nursing process in caring for assigned patients. Completes assessment and individualizes plan of care within established nursing guidelines. Carries out nursing care with consideration for cultural and psychosocial factors and ages of individual patients. Organizes, prioritizes, and performs nursing skills appropriate for the patient population. Anticipates patient and unit needs effectively. Demonstrates a sound knowledge base, applying the bio-psychosocial model. Delegates and communicates effectively and appropriately. Exhibits professional judgment in response to changing patient and unit situations. Documents all steps of the nursing process and care on the appropriate records.
