Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Cath lab experience is essential - IR experience or willingness to learn preferred Description: The Cath Lab Registered Nurse will be responsible for circulating and monitoring cases. The RN will care for pre and post-procedure patients. The role includes making pre-procedure and post-procedure patient calls. Daily case load averages 4, combining both cath and interventional radiology. Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, and pacemakers. The RN will be required to be on call, approximately 15 call shifts every 6 weeks. Weeknight call is about 10 times per month. Weekend call occurs about every third weekend. Holiday call is required and shared among the staff. The call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes. Floating to other units may occur based on extreme needs. The provided scrub color is blue. Orientation will be conducted over a couple of days following initial training. The primary charting system used is EPIC.
