Job Summary:
A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in a high-acuity environment. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, conducting assessments, and managing clinical interventions. The nurse will develop and coordinate individualized care plans and perform therapeutic procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes, providing patient-centered care in line with professional nursing standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac care setting
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), critical care experience highly preferred, prior experience with EPIC and Sensis electronic medical record systems, circulation during pacer insertion experience, pulmonary embolism case experience, prior experience with Mac-LAB, Impella, balloon pump, PCI, right heart catheterization, and left heart catheterization procedures
- Certifications & Licenses: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS, ACLS, telemetry experience required
- Skills & Experience: Circulating nurse, EPIC, Mac-LAB, Impella, balloon pump, PCI, right heart catheterization, left heart catheterization, circulation during pacer insertion, pulmonary embolism case experience
- Additional Information: The role involves on-call duties including one weekend per month and one in summer and winter, with on-call scheduled for four weekdays and one weekend. The position does not require float rotation.
