Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Urology Ambulatory Practice
Facility: South Shore Medical Center
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Days (5x8)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Schedule
- Day shifts only
- Office hours
- No weekends
- No evenings
- No nights
- No holidays
Job Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments
- Telephone communication and patient triage
- Patient education before and after urology procedures
- Perform bladder instillations
- Care for urology patients in an ambulatory clinic setting
Minimum Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient/acute care experience
- Required ambulatory clinic experience
- Required phone triage experience
- Comfortable with urinary catheters and catheterizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Urology experience (ambulatory or acute care)
- Chemotherapy/Oncology experience (highly desirable)
- Experience with catheters and drains
- Emergency Department experience
- Procedural nursing experience
- Walk-in triage experience
Ideal Candidate
- Strong ambulatory clinic background
- Excellent patient communication and education skills
- Comfortable managing phone triage
- Experience working independently in an outpatient setting
