Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS required; WTA preferred Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required; must be nicotine-free Description: The Wound Ostomy Clinic offers specialists to assist in wound healing. The clinic aims to minimize or eliminate barriers to proper wound healing. Services include pre-surgical marking, education, and post-surgical follow-up care for ostomy patients. Certified nurses provide specialized care for each patient. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekends, holidays, or call shifts are required. Safety and precautions are in place regarding nicotine use and compliance. Chronic wounds treated include diabetic, pressure, vascular, and non-healing surgical wounds. Care comprises comprehensive medical evaluation, negative pressure wound therapy, and coordination of advanced care. Ostomy services cover education, marking prior to surgery, and management of complex appliance issues. Mandatory scrubs are required as part of the dress code. Travelers must submit requested time off during the application process. Candidates must have experience with wound vac therapy; home health experience is also acceptable. All contracts must comply with facility regulations and end on a Sunday.
