Job Title: Staff RN - Ambulatory Clinics Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Ambulatory Surgery Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 1st Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred License: Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider or an approved equivalent Must-Have: - Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment - Patient care coordination - Direct patient care - Patient education - Telephone triage Description: The Staff RN works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic, patient, and family-centered care. The Staff RN systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practices related to individual and population health. The Staff RN establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. The Staff RN considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. The Staff RN delegates and supervises care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The Staff RN participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for their professional development. Major accountabilities of this role include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures. The Staff RN may float to other areas as needed for operational requirements and will perform other duties as assigned.
