Job Title: RN Outpatient Cardiology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Acute Care Duration: Full Time Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of patient care experience with recent arrhythmia recognition and cardiology experience. License: New York RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - RN graduate; BSN preferred - Minimum 2 years of patient care experience with recent arrhythmia recognition and cardiology Description: The position is for an outpatient cardiology role working full time. Shifts are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends or holidays. Education requirements include a minimum of a registered nurse graduate, with a BSN preferred. The role requires BLS and ACLS certifications. Experience should include a minimum of 2 years in patient care with recent arrhythmia recognition and cardiology experience, preferably with ICU or cardiology nursing. The candidate should possess skills in performing exercise treadmill tests and nuclear stress testing. The role involves conducting initial patient interviews and making preliminary assessments of test data. Preparation of studies for physician interpretation and ensuring accurate and timely results in collaboration with physicians and cardiac rehab supervisors is essential. Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures is a key responsibility, along with providing education to patients and their families. The candidate will assist with monitoring special procedures such as stress-echo studies and tilt table studies.
