Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license
• Current CPR certification
• Education verification required
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required
• Experience in skilled nursing, acute care, or an inpatient setting preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to float to other inpatient units as needed based on census

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a skilled nursing setting
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved standards and policies
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner
• Develop and carry out individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families to support positive outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement and shared governance activities when assigned
• Use clinical judgment to promote patient safety, patient experience, and appropriate escalation of concerns
• Support other inpatient units as needed to meet patient care needs
