Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Days, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in nursing; Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State; 3-5 years of nursing clinical care experience with charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred; Relevant clinical competence in the area of nursing practice assigned.
- Preferred Qualifications: Masters in nursing or health-related field preferred.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment; participate in root cause analysis (RCA) processes and implement corrective actions; promote a culture of open communication and error reporting; lead interdisciplinary quality improvement teams; monitor unit progress and compliance with safety and quality metrics; respond to safety escalations; ensure staff competence evaluations are current.
- Leadership and Administrative Duties: Huddles at shift start, identify high-risk patients, communicate concerns to leadership, initiate service recovery, interpret patient experience scores, empower evidence-based practices, and promote a culture of caring, respect, and empathy.
- Additional Information: The position emphasizes leadership in quality and safety initiatives, staff engagement, and fostering a positive clinical environment consistent with organizational standards.
