Responsibilities
- Specializes in diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging and delivers imaging at a technical level consistent with policies and procedures.
- Collects patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses concerns to promote comfort and meet patient needs.
- Operates and maintains assigned nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure proper function.
- Performs diagnostic studies, including preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed.
- Identifies, prepares, and administers medications within the technologist’s scope of practice under a licensed independent practitioner.
- Conducts quality assurance, upholds radiation safety, and minimizes exposure for patients, staff, and self.
- Complies with Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulations and protocols; documents and maintains records in paper/electronic formats.
- Maintains supplies and performs routine equipment testing and maintenance per protocol.
- May assist in other radiology areas as assigned and performs related duties as required.

Requirements
- Licensure/Certification: Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB (REQUIRED)
- Certifications: BLS, ARRT (as listed in requirements)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years NMT experience (REQUIRED)
