Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician Profession: Nuclear Medicine Technician Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:45 AM - 04:15 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required. License: Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Department of Health required prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certifications: BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date required. Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must-Have: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR Associate's degree/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. Description: Candidate will perform nuclear medicine procedures and assist in the management of radioactive materials. The technician will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact with patients and staff effectively. The role may involve working on holidays as needed by the department. Successful candidates must meet all licensing and certification requirements prior to the start date.
