Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to infants 22 weeks gestation and greater, including those with abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, duodenal atresia, diaphragmatic hernia, urethral stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP.
  • Administer special procedures such as full body cooling, chest tubes, surgical repairs, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgeries.
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Artic Sun Blanketroll, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris Philips central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Dreager Caleos, Radiant warmers, external shunt, and ostomy.
  • Document patient care accurately in EPIC system, requiring at least 1 year of EPIC experience.
  • Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all certifying requirements: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and SC license.
  • Provide weekend coverage every other week, with optional call shifts (at least 1 bi-weekly).
