Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position in Renton, Washington. The role involves providing specialized care to premature and critically ill neonatal patients in a Level III care setting. Experienced RNs will deliver high-quality patient care utilizing advanced neonatal equipment and protocols, supporting patients from gestations as early as 32 weeks with complex needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse; minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, including charge experience; certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS); ability to care for gestations down to 32 weeks or greater than 1500 grams; proficiency with NC, HFNC, CPAP, NAVA, conventional ventilator equipment, and feeding pumps.
  • Ability to titrate drips including blood pressure medications, TPN/D10, and insulin.
  • Additional Information: Willingness to float to pediatric units to care for NICU graduates or behavioral health patients; night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; orientation required for 1-2 shifts; possible weekend and holiday work based on schedule; may be on standby; no nurse aids on unit; in-house neonatologist available 24/7; use of EPIC charting system; will not accept candidates with license hits related to medication endangerment or diversion.
