Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position in Brookhaven, Georgia. This role involves providing specialized care in a level IV surgical neonatal intensive care environment. The nurse will work on a weekend block schedule during night shifts, with responsibilities including managing complex neonatal diagnoses and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week starting on 08/03/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred, at least 3 years of NICU experience, valid nursing license in the state of Georgia, testing including drug screen and flu vaccine completed
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with level IV surgical NICU patients, familiarity with common diagnoses such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia, meconium aspiration syndrome, necrotizing enterocolitis, tracheoesophageal fistula, abdominal wall defects, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, pulmonary hypertension, perioperative care
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed. Must work at least one holiday if it falls during the contract. This is a nicotine-free facility requiring testing along with drug screen. Flu vaccination is mandatory without exception during flu season; religious or medical exemptions are not accepted.
